To eliminate avoidable blindness by targeting cataract blindness, the leading cause by far in most developing economies of the world.

ACEF`S intervention model is outreach based. It is fully supported by a dedicated team of eye care professionals supported on land by requisite equipments (mobile theatre ambulance and a bus to ferry cataract patients from and back home again after surgery at the first base hospital in Benin city. The work plan for the first 5years is to eradicate the cataract backlog in the 1,000,000 population in the selected target area
